Today is the final of the League One play-offs between Notts County and Salford City. Notts County are known to be the oldslest club in the world. They are playing attacking football with lots of possession and short passing. Salford, supported by the millions of former United stars, are betting on a more pragmatic, physical and direct football with high intensity. It is a clash between Notts County's forwards and Salford's tough and experienced defence. Sometimes Salford leave spaces behind their defence when pressing high quick out-and-out passes can be fatal. On the other hand, Salford's strong physical players must look for every opportunity at corners and free kicks, that is Notts County's weak point. Just one place and one point separated the two sides in the table at the end of the regular season. Salford's closest promotion to League One came three years ago when they were knocked out of the play-offs at the semi-final stage by Stockport County.
